Nexia Indonesia is helping BRI reduce its IFRS/PSAK 71 implementation risk and ensure long-term flexibility to meet evolving regulations

In just one year, Indonesia’s adaptation of International Financial Reporting Standard 9 (IFRS 9), known as PSAK 71: Instrumen Keuangan, will officially go into effect, requiring a significant accounting change that will affect operations, financial planning and portfolio strategy at banks across the nation. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), the largest bank in Indonesia and a top 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) bank for tier 1 capital, is using SAS® Expected Credit Loss to make that deadline.

In collaboration with PT Nexia Indonesia Advisory Services, Path Solutions organized an Islamic Risk Management workshop on Tuesday 21st of May in Jakarta targeting local Sharia banks.

Presentations were given by Mr. Handoko Komaruddin, Director of PT Nexia Indonesia, Mdm. Khadijah Iskandar, Accredited Risk Management Trainer of IBFIM and Mr. Atish Dhiran, Senior Manager-Risk, Compliance & Reporting at Path Solutions. Over 30 participants from 16 different Islamic banks in Indonesia attended the workshop and expressed their interest in Path Solutions’ iMAL*RiskManagement solution.

FRSGlobal today announced that Bank Bukopin has selected FRSGlobal’s International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) solution. The deal was signed in collaboration with associate partner PT Nexia Indonesia Advisory Services (PTNIAS) – a partnership that was formed as part of FRSGlobal’s commitment to the Indonesian market

BRI conducted a thorough evaluation of IFRS solutions on the market in order to adhere to IFRS and PSAK 50, 55. The bank selected Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ solution following the system’s strong benchmarking results
